Oh hello November, where did you come from?
Anyone else feel this way?
October felt like the shortest month ever but November kicks off the Holiday season and my favorite time of year!
This is actually yesterdays outfit.
Jason and I took a mid-day break yesterday for a little lunch date and he took these photos.
I love that he works from home and we have the flexibility to do this.
When we were dating in college, we used to have lunch together almost every day of the week.
Then when we got married, I would drive to his work downtown for lunch on my break once or twice a week and vice-a-versa.
It’s something we’ve always done in our relationship and I love it. It’s like a little middle of the day date.
When we both quit our jobs last year to pursue other things, people told us we would get sick of being together 7 days a week and that having separate jobs is good for our relationship.
It’s actually been better for our relationship now that we are both home and I feel like we’ve grown even closer the more time we have together now.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to get away and have our own time apart from each other, but I kinda am loving having him around!
It’s also sooo nice to be able to have breakfast together with the kids without rushing off to work and it’s amazing to be able to take vacations and schedule appointments without having a boss to coordinate with.
I’m loving this chapter in our life where we get to have so much time together (us two) but also with the kids.
When I worked full-time, I only dreamed of the day I could be home with the kids and I feel so blessed that we can both do this at this time in our life.
…and now I’m just rambling on.
House update: still waiting on the City to approve our plans…. it’s taking so long!
People keep telling me this part of the process takes forever and they are right, I am just ready to start and move in!
At this rate we don’t plan on being in our new home until after the holidays. We are shooting for February and hopefully not much longer.
It’s going to be so fun to see it all come together!
Not much else to update, life is pretty normal for now.
If you love anything I’m wearing in the post, it’s linked up below.
This puffer coat was a big hit when I shared it on my Instagram a few weeks back!
I actually bought it on my September Vegas trip when I went with my mom and sister. I wanted this coat last year and didn’t buy it in time and it sold out.
When I saw it in store in Vegas, I didn’t wait and bought it right away!
If you love it, get it quick, before it sells out… it’s a great price and so warm and cozy.
That is all for now!
