Yes, cereal is a perfectly acceptable meal for dinner (or breakfast, or lunch, or snack, or just whenever).
I’ll be honest, we’ve been sooo busy these last few months.
As you know we have been building our new house for like 6 months now, then we got hit with quarantine and home-school (thankfully summer break just started last week!), and now we had to move into my parents house for a few weeks until our new house is done.
I’ve been spending the past couple of weeks packing and we moved last weekend.
Our rental lease was up on the 31st and we have about 3-4 weeks until our new house is done.
My parents are empty nesters so it made sense to move in with them for a few weeks!
The first Sunday after we moved in I felt like I was able to finally come up for air for the first time in months!
With all of our furniture and stuff in storage, we just brought our luggage’s with some clothes and things.
I feel like I’m on a mini vacation at my parents house and it’s been so nice.
On Sunday afternoon I grabbed a blanket, the book I’ve been trying to finish for months, and sat outside for a few hours with the kids.
No packing or moving to worry about, nothing to do but relax.
It was glorious.
Claire played in her new unicorn tent that she got for her 4th birthday and Charlie played on his slide and when they were hungry I poured them a bowl of Malt-O-Meal cereal for dinner and called it good.
Malt-O-Meal (MOM) is the champion of moms.
And today, being a mom is extra challenging.
When quarantine happened and homeschool started, moms are now taking on even more roles, including as teachers, daycare providers, coaches, playmates, short-order cooks or chefs and more.
Moms need a break too and Malt-O-Meal provides quick and easy meal options for anytime of day!
My kids love the Frosted Mini SpoonersⓇ cereal and the Marshmallow MateysⓇ.
I also really like their hot cereal in the morning with bananas or berries and it has a lot of iron which their little growing bodies need.
The kids loved eating dinner in Claire’s unicorn tent and it was nice for me not to have to prepare dinner after two days of moving!
Of course, Claire ate all of her marshmallows first.
To honor all of the important and extra work moms across the country are doing every day and to give them something to look forward to, Malt-O-Meal is giving away $30,000 worth of personalized gifts to moms (two $500 gifts each day for 30 days), plus Malt-O-Meal cereal for each winner’s pantry, via a social contest on the brand’s Facebook page, now through June 25.
