Aloha!
Even though we have been home from Maui since Monday, I am still on Island time. I’ve been daydreaming of waking up to the waves crashing on the beach and the Maui sunsets. It was pretty hard to leave, I could definitely get used to the island life!
Nonetheless, coming home to cherry blossoms and Spring springing all over Portland wasn’t so bad either!
We didn’t bring the kids on the trip this time, it was just Jason and I. Although we love taking the kids on vacation, we like to go without them once or twice per year. I think it’s important to have some time off together and really rest and recharge.
We stayed at the Andaz Resort and loved everything about this place. From the infinity pools to the amazing Poke tacos, it was a truly enjoyable experience.
If you are planning a trip to Maui, I highly recommend this resort (mainly adult oriented, but they are very welcoming of kids if you choose to bring yours along).
One of my favorite thing about going on vacation without the kids is getting dressed up for dinner every night. Every single night is a date night and it was amazing.
