It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted here, we have had a few bad colds and viruses hit us pretty hard in April and into May. Claire got Roseola in April, followed by a cold and pink eye (in both eyes).
Shortly after that, Charlie got a cold and his first ever ear infection, accompanied by pink eye in his right eye.
Then, shortly after that I came down with a fever followed by one of the worst bacterial throat infections of my life.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, my husband started complaining of the same symptoms as me and got sick too!
Let’s just say, I am thankful for good health insurance, doctors with good medicine and family and friends that helped watch the kids and help us around the house.
It has been rough, both mentally and physically in the Pacurar home, but I am happy to say that we are all doing well!
Charlie, my husband and I all had to be put on antibiotics so I’ve been stuffing us full of probiotics and yogurt to counteract the negative effects of antibiotics. I hate taking antibiotics but sometimes, it’s the only thing that will help you get better. If you have any tips for supplements or foods that are great for eating after taking antibiotics, please share!
On a happier note, we celebrated Claire’s first birthday last weekend. Even though we were all pretty sick, we pulled ourselves together and managed to have an awesome little celebration with family. I will share her birthday party details in a post later this week, the theme was “enchanted woodland.”
For now, here are some pictures I took in the springtime that I just have not gotten around to posting.
How beautiful are all these cherry blossoms? Portland is pretty magical in the springtime. I love Portland so much because we have all four seasons and they all have their own unique aspects.
Summertime is here and I’m looking forward to all of our backyard bbq’s and bonfires….hopefully we don’t have to go through anymore illnesses this season!
Happy Tuesday!
