How to Wear Spring Dresses in Winter

Hi friends!

Thank you for all the love on my post yesterday. If you missed it, you can read yesterday’s post on “mean moms” here.

I loved reading all of your messages and tried to respond to as many as I could! You guys are the best!

Today we literally didn’t leave the house once and it was glorious. We spend the morning in our pajamas and if you follow me on Instagram, you saw that we made a huge living room fort. It was so big I actually fit in there with the kids.

It was a much needed day at home.

While the kids napped (they napped 2.5 hours!! All that fort making got them tired.) I washed my hair, did my makeup and even had time to curl my hair.

When I was done they were still napping so I got a few blog posts lined up for next week.

I’m feeling pretty good about myself right now.

Tonight is date night but even more exciting, we are celebrating Jason’s birthday! His birthday is on Sunday but we are starting the festivities early 🙂 He deserves it, he’s the best! I plan all celebrating him aaallll weekend long.

Here is tonight’s date night look. I’m all about wardrobe pieces that can be worn year round and this dress is a favorite of mine. I’ve worn it in the summer and in the winter like I am tonight.

Just throw on a leather jacket and some boots and you can make most spring dresses work in the winter time!

I obviously wouldn’t wear this on a snow day, but today was sunny and a little bit warmer than it has been, so it worked!

This dress is also cute with sneakers because I’m all about wearing sneakers as often as I can! If I weren’t wearing this to date night, I would most likely have the sneakers on instead.

My leather jacket is from Aritzia but it’s a few years old, I don’t see it on their website anymore. You can shop their other leather jackets here. My dress is also a few years old from Free People but the ones I linked above are really similar!
