I’ve been wearing a lot of red this summer and get a lot of comments like “you look good in red, I could never pull it off” or “I love red on others but it doesn’t look good on me” or “I’m not brave enough to wear red.”
It’s funny because I actually used to stay away from red for myself but would love seeing it on others. Being that red is really in-style right now, I started wearing it more often and have realized that it’s actually not hard to wear. It’s no longer a “fall/winter” color and can be worn in the summertime too!
Here are some ideas on ways you can wear red this summer!
Red Lipstick
Classic. That is what comes to mind when I think of red lipstick. What I love about red lipstick is that it looks good on anyone and it goes with almost anything!
Red accessories
Think bold dangling earrings, a red scarf around your neck or a pop of color with a fun red bag. You don’t have to wear red from head to toe, but you can add a pop of color with your accessories.
Red Shoes
Red shoes are another way to add a pop of color to your outfit. I am loving slide sandals lately and linked up some really cute (and affordable ones!) here:
Red Swimwear
LOVE red swimwear and just ordered the striped white and red one featured here:
Red Blazers or Kimonos
I love to wear blazers with denim shorts! You can see an example from a previous post here. A red blazer would be so fun with a white tee tucked into cutoff denim shorts for a casual date night!
Red Rompers
The red romper I am wearing in this post is sold out but here are some really cute one!
Red Dresses
I love read dresses because you can wear them in the summer with sandals or in the fall/winter with layers and boots. You have to have one or two red dresses in your closet!
You can see some other ways that I have been wearing red this summer here, here, and this red dress from fall that I have also been wearing this summer!
We just celebrated our 8 year anniversary on July 10th and we celebrated with a weekend getaway to Oregon wine country! I wore this outfit on Saturday while wine tasting. It was Bastille Day so all of the wineries had something special going on to celebrate.
I will share more about our Anniversary getaway in a post this week as well as my progress with the FASTer Way to Fat Loss program! Lot’s of you have been asking me about the program so stay tuned for that later this week as well.
Have an awesome day!
