Hi friends!
I wanted to hop on and do a quick blog post to update everyone on our home progress so far!
Here is what is done:
- Roof
- Windows
- Electrical, plumbing and HVAC
- All framing is done
- Garage slab is done
- Fascia is done
Here is what is happening this week:
- Doors and trim are getting installed
- Siding is starting
- Cedar under front porch and back covered patio are going in
- Insulation
On the horizon:
- We are hoping to start drywall once insulation is done next week, we already have the contractors lined up.
After that it is just a matter of floors, trim and installing the kitchen and bathroom and finish work.
We are getting close!
I ordered a bunch of the lighting for the house and I am having so much fun creating mood boards and dreaming up what the interior will look like!
Some of you have been asking for me to share my inspiration for our home so here are some photos that are inspiring the direction of our home style:
I bought this beaded light for our dining room from World Market and it arrives today!
Ordered these from Home Depot for our exterior lighting, so pretty!
This chandelier is on my wishlist for our Foyer!
I don’t really know what to call my “home decor style” but I think it is a mix of modern farmhouse, classic, maybe a touch of Napa Valley?
I love whites and natural materials like wood, wicker, and earth tones: blues, greens, beige, etc.
I want the house to feel clean and crisp but cozy!
