Faster Way to Fat Loss Q&A

Hi, happy Thursday friends!

I’m in the 4th week (a little over halfway) through the Faster Way to Fat Loss program and wanted to share my progress and experience so far as well as answer all of the questions I have been getting from you all on Instagram.

First of all, I love this program so much that I plan on signing up for a second round when this one is over.

The program offers so much support and information, it has been motivating and educational. I would LOVE for you to be in the next group that starts on August 13th. You can sign up here and please let me know if you do so we can support each other!

It would be awesome to check in a few times per week and see how we are doing and hold each other accountable!

Why did you choose this program?

I had some people ask me why I am doing a “weight loss” program if I don’t have a lot of weight to lose. This isn’t necessarily a weight loss program, it’s a lifestyle change.

Yes, I was eating healthy and working out 4-5 times per week before this program (read my article about that here) but I felt like I had reached a plateau.

After two kids, I had certain target areas (like lower stomach) that I just couldn’t see results on.

After seeing the before and after photos and reading testimonials, many of the women who joined this program were in the same boat as me: not over weight or even out of shape, but just needing to take their fitness/health to the next level.

What is the Faster Way to Fat Loss Program? How did you hear about it?

In a nutshell, this program combines intermittent fasting and carb cycling along with macro counting and regular exercise.

Sounds overwhelming, I know!

I felt the same way when I first heard about it but saw such great results on so many people that I decided to give it a go.

Once you sign up you receive so many resources to learn about intermittent fasting (the right way), carb-cycling and macro counting.

Not only that, but you get all of the workouts for the entire 6 weeks (the gym version or at home version, for those of you that don’t have a membership or equipment), meal ideas, and live videos each week!

Quick side note: a couple of ladies in my group hate working out or don’t have time and actually just did light walking and still saw results from changing their eating. Just FYI for those of you that don’t like working out or just simply don’t have the time.

If you have been trying to learn about macros but have felt overwhelmed by SO much information online, then this is an awesome way to learn and dive into it!

Read more about carb-cycling, intermittent fasting and tracking macros here.

What meal plan is this?

It’s not a specific meal plan exactly. They don’t give you all of your exact meals for every day. Instead the program teaches you how to select the right foods and how to combine them which is what you need for long term success. If they just told you what to eat, you wouldn’t really learn how to combine the foods to get the right macros.

They do give you a huge list of foods that fall under the macro categories for protein, fats and carbs and they tell you what to stay away from. You will have access to recipes that you can mix and match and they provide plenty of meal ideas to get you started.

The program structure makes it really simple and straight forward so that meal planning doesn’t have to be daunting and complicated.

I do recommend buying their cookbook which I will talk about more later in this post.

Are there cheat meals?

I wouldn’t call them “cheat meals” but you do have more flexibility with the program.

As long as what you are eating fits into your macro percentages, you can eat it. I personally don’t cheat during the week and on the weekend I will have something sweet if I am craving it (small) or maybe something that takes me a little over my macros for that day.

I love the program because you can have a huge variety of foods unlike Keto style programs where you are even limited to the vegetables you can eat.

This program is healthy to do long term, for the rest of your life if you want! You are not only losing weight/toning, but you are nourishing your body with all of the things it needs to be healthy and thrive.

This is a long term weight loss solution, not a yo-yo diet or something that will make you give up and binge.

Can you tell me more about intermittent fasting? Aren’t you starving?

A lot of people have the wrong impression of intermittent fasting. They think you are basically starving yourself which is highly inaccurate.

You are still eating the RIGHT amount of calories, you are just eating them in a smaller window of time.

For example, you fast 16 hours and have 8 hours to eat. I like to fast from 7:00pm until noon the following day.

Intermittent fasting is not a diet but rather an eating pattern. You structure your meals within the 8 hour window when you can eat.

Intermittent fasting helps control insulin levels and when paired with carb cycling, your body starts to burn that stubborn fat that you just can’t seem to shake no matter how hard you try! Rather than getting energy from what you ate (carbs), it starts to burn that stored fat for energy, YES!

No, I am not starving when I am fasting because I am sleeping for a huge portion of that time! In the beginning I would get a little hungry around 9am when I used to eat breakfast but after about 5 days, my body adjusted!

I have noticed that I NEVER wake up bloated (if you have issues with bloating, it’s most likely related to what you are eating and when you eat!) and have seen the biggest results in my stomach area which was my goal!

I’m down a few inches on my stomach and my clothes all fit better around my waist.

I think intermittent fasting is going to be a permanent part of my eating pattern because I love how I feel when I do it!

Can you have anything during the fasting period?

You can have water, coffee or tea. I add collagen peptides to my coffee in the morning which is fine. It has no sugar and zero carbs and is only 40 calories total. It gives you a nice dose of protein in the morning.

Isn’t fasting bad for your metabolism?

Nope, this is a myth. Starving yourself and then bingeing is bad for your metabolism but intermittent fasting is not starving or depleting your body of calories.

Like I said above, it is just a different way to structure when you eat.

Have you seen results on this program?

YES! A few inches off of my stomach/waist area and down 6 lbs in 4 weeks! I feel amazing!!! I actually am excited to share my before and after photos with you when the program is done!

What is the workout routine like? Do you have to workout?

No, you don’t have to workout but it is recommended if you want to tone up and see quicker results. Working out is also so good for your health!

But the reality is that not everyone can workout and if this is you, be encouraged! If you follow the eating part correctly, you will still see amazing results.

As mentioned above, they give you all of the workouts for the entire 6 weeks! If you have a gym membership, you can use the version they give you with equipment and if you need to workout at home, they give you workouts for that as well.

How much does it cost?

The program cost is $199 and worth every single penny!

They offer you meal ideas and samples but if you plan on making this a long term, permanent change, then I recommend you purchase the cookbook as well. You can purchase it here. It’s only $24.99 and it gives you some awesome easy and FAST recipes.

I would definitely purchase this for your first round to help you learn what types of meals you can put together!

Macros are so complicating, how do you track them and know what to eat vs. what to stay away from?

We use the MyFitness Pal app to track macros and they help you set it up correctly in the beginning so that you just plug your food in and it calculates your macros out! So, so simple!

As mentioned above in the meal plan question, they teach you literally everything you need to know to be successful and see results!

Rather than paying for the program, do you think I can just learn all of this by doing my own research?

Probably, yes, depending how committed you are to really researching and learning it all!

However, I had done a lot of research on carb-cycling and macro counting and found it extremely overwhelming.

I would read about it online and then try it but would never get the macros right.

This program is actually 7 weeks long. 1 week of JUST learning and setting up your macros, etc. You don’t start actually following the plan until weeks 2 – 7 (1 week training/learning, 6 weeks on the program).

Not only do they teach you everything in the first week and help you setup your MyFitness Pal, you have access to the groups private Facebook page where they post tons of information every day and people who are in your challenge group can ask questions, share recipes, tips, etc.

That has been extremely helpful to be able to ask questions or reach out to your coach.

Amanda (the founder/creator of this program) also goes LIVE each week to answer questions and continue to educate you! If you can’t watch the video live, they save it so you can watch later.

I know this all seems “too good to be true” perhaps but the truth is that I wouldn’t share it with you all if it hasn’t been the best program I’ve ever done. I plan on signing up for round two.

It is not easy. It’s challenging and requires time to prepare your meals and workout. If  you think you can go into this program and just “skim” the surface, you won’t see results.

If you are motivated to learn, push yourself and work hard to make a change for your long-term health, then you won’t regret it and I know you will THANK me for sharing this program with you!

Please let me know if you have any other questions! Feel free to reach out via e-mail here or leave a comment below!

Also, if you sign up, please let me know so we can keep in touch for the next round!
