I love a good party but I also know that hosting a party is not only fun, but a lot of work!
With that in mind, I always like to bring a little something for the hostess to say thank you for having us and putting so much time into making us feel welcome.
From every detail, the hostess spends not only the day of the party planning, but days to weeks in advance! What better way to show your appreciation than by bringing a little gift!
Here are some unique and fun hostess gift ideas for all of those holiday parties I am sure you will be attending this year!
Hostess Books
A good cookbook or hostess book makes a great thank you gift! My favorites are the Good Housekeeping Christmas Book if you are going to a Christmas party or for any other event you can bring Entertaining is Fun. I have this book and it is not only a fun read, but it’s a cute book to leave on display on a coffee table or kitchen.
Candles
I don’t know anyone that doesn’t like candles, especially a pretty and great scented one! My all time favorite candles are found at Anthropologie. They last long, smell amazing, and are pretty to look at!
Flowers & Wine
Everyone loves flowers and a nice bottle of Rose or Red Wine. For flowers, you can either bring a fresh cut bouquet or a vase full of flowers for convenience. If your hostess doesn’t drink, you can bring a nice non-alcoholic bubbly drink like Martinelli’s or something similar.
Coasters
Entertaining can be messy, so bring a cute set of coasters for them to use at the current event and future gatherings. I am really loving these marble coasters and they make a great, affordable gift!
Gift Baskets
I love gift baskets because you can mix and match a theme or just different items that you know your hostess likes. Here are some great pre-made gift basket ideas that you can either purchase or use as inspiration to get you started:
Chocolate
Do I really need to go into detail on this one?? I mean, it’s chocolate…..
Honey Jar, Tea Kettle and Tea
After the party is over and the guests have gone home, your hostess can kick up their feet and enjoy a soothing hot tea. This can be brought individually or put together in a gift basket!
Sweet Relief Spa Sets
I saw this idea on Pinterest a while back and thought it would make the cutest hostess gift! As “sweet relief” after all of their hard work, they can soothe themselves with a Sweet Pea scented spa set. Here are some great sets to give you an idea:
Fresh Baked Goods
Another really cute idea that I also found on Pinterest (gosh I love Pinterest!) was to make a basket of fresh baked goods, in particular muffins or scones that your hostess can enjoy the morning after the party with a cup of coffee! Nothing like waking up the day after you host an event to fresh baked goods, made with love!
In these photos I am wearing my gorgeous TAH Doctor Bag which has been sold out because it is so amazing! It should be back in stock now so if you love it, make sure you get it quick before it’s gone again! Also, I am hosting a giveaway on my Instagram and you can win this gorgeous TAH Work Traveler Wallet! See my Instagram post here for all the details on how to enter to win!
My jacket is vintage, skirt is from here, boots are from Nordstrom but they are sold out so you can still find them on sale here, and my hat is from here.
