I randomly came across this recipe one day and because it was so easy and I had everything I needed at home, I decided to give it a try.
It was a huge success in our home and I have been making it almost weekly for the past few weeks!
With only 6g of sugar instead of 27+ grams that a box of cake mix has, I feel like this is a better treat for the kids than muffins or cake.
Plus, it’s just so simple and makes the house smell so delicious every time I bake it!
Ingredients:
- A box of Cornbread Mix and Ingredients on Box Instructions (usually eggs, milk and butter)
- A big handful of frozen blueberries
Yup, that’s it!
You just prepare the cornbread mix according to package instructions, add in a heaping handful of frozen blueberries, gently fold together with a wooden spoon until evenly distributed, and pop in the oven according to baking directions of cornbread mix.
You know this mama is all about those easy and quick recipes and this one is just that!
It’s a sweet twist to traditional cornbread.
If you try it, let me know what you think!
Enjoy, from my kitchen to yours!
