1 Year Anniversary!

I decided to take a break from blogging for a while to get settled into our new place and focus on a few things that were important to straighten out. But I am back and want to share some details of our lovely anniversary! ๐Ÿ™‚

Two weeks ago (7/10/11) was our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary! It has been a year full of love, laughter, excitement, adventure, blessings, romance, and pure bliss. We stayed in town for our anniversary and spent the day visiting places in our own city.

My husband planned an entire day and kept it all a secret. Here is a glimpse of our romantic day together:

First he woke up super early while I was still sleeping and went to the store and bought me these beautiful flowers.

Next, we got dressed and went to a local pancake house for breakfast. They had delicious food! The menu had a trivia section so we had fun playing trivia while we waited for our food:

After breakfast he took me to the camera shop to get some new accessories for my camera and then we went walking around downtown for a little. We stopped at some of my favorite vintage/antique stores (my favorite thing to do!)

After shopping and spending time around Portland, the city we love, we headed to an early dinner at a lovely restaurant on the water called Saltys.

It was a gorgeous day and we sat on the terrace overlooking the river and marina.

After dinner we went home and my husband told me to change into something comfortable and grab a sweater:

(I put on my comfy new oxfords that I found at a recycled fashion store recently)

We changed, picked up Norman, a couple of chairs, and a blanket……

…..and went to watch a movie in the park!!! We watched Shrek Forever After

This is something I have ALWAYS wanted to do and my husband remembered me mention it a few times so he surprised me!

There were so many people and a few food carts. They even had a Voodoo Doughnut stand and I was able to try my first ever Voodoo Doughnut!

It got chilly out later in the evening but that didn’t stop us from having fun!

We has such a wonderful Anniversary! I loved how he planned the entire day doing things that we have always loved to do. It was lovely just to be together all day and reminisce on all our wonderful times together.

One year into marriage and we are more in love than ever and our love for each other grows more and more each day!!!!

God willing, here’s to many many many many more happy days together!
