Happy New Year!
I know we are already a couple of weeks into the New Year and I haven’t posted much on here or on Instagram.
I’ve been really busy at work (year end) and also have been working on some really exciting things (which I will share on here in a couple of months!).
In the previous few years I hadn’t really set any resolutions or major goals. I was busy being pregnant and having babies!
This year my kids are both a little older, I’m not pregnant and I’m feeling like 2018 is going to be a great year.
This year I really want to focus on growing my blog and making one of my lifelong dreams come to life (this is what I am excited to share with you all in a couple of months!!)
Here are some of my specific resolutions/goals for 2018!
Be more present
My husband and I love to work. He is constantly working on his business and I am always working on my own projects.
However, in 2018 we have decided to be better about separating work and family.
Being plugged into email, social media, the web and the online world on our phones can quickly become a distraction during family time.
We have been focusing on keeping these items unplugged during family time (i.e. dinner, weekends, play time with the kids, etc). The kids are growing so fast and we definitely want them to know they are our #1 priority and they deserve our undivided attention.
Not only do we want to be more present as a family, but I want to be more present as a wife, daughter, sister and friend.
When I am with people in general I want to be on my phone less and be present, in the moment.
Personal Health & Fitness Goals
I have a couple of personal health and fitness goals that I am working towards. So far I have been pretty good about keeping these!
My fitness goal is to workout 5 times per week and I have some weight loss goals that I am working towards.
I would rather not share the specifics of this because they are personal and for myself. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think I am overweight, but I have some areas I want to tone up and work on 😉
As far as eating goes, I am eating less sugar and less dairy. We all know sugar is bad for us so I don’t really need to go into that in detail!
I am cutting out dairy as much as possible because I noticed is bloats me and just adds a lot of extra calories to my daily caloric intake.
My main focus is to eat more foods that are whole and natural and less processed foods. Cutting out sugar has been my greatest struggle so far!!! I’ve cheated a couple of times to be honest but I’m not giving up!
Starting on Monday next week I plan on starting a sugar free week challenge for myself! Wish me luck!
Grow my blog
This blog has been a hobby of mine and has become a nice little side business. I’ve been able to make some income and receive some really awesome products in the previous year.
In 2018 I want to focus on bringing lots of fresh content and growing my online presence as well as get the opportunity to work with a lot of new brands and sponsorships.
Grow my business (more on this later!!)
I am not going to share much on this right now. I’m working on my promotional material and a few details still but this has been a lifelong dream of mine and with my husbands never ending support, 2018 is the year it is finally going to happen!
Lots more on this in a couple of months!
Well that is about it for my 2018 resolutions and goals! These are all big goals and I’m so excited about every one of them!
